FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that leading Retail FX and CFDs broker EC Markets has hired a Sponsorship and Partnership Manager, in the person of Nicholas Haralambos McGregor.

Nicholas Haralambos McGregor, who is based in London, joins EC Markets after serving as Marketing Manager for United Rugby Championship for the past two years. He has also previously worked at Biffa, and at 42Bruton. From 2021-2024 Nicholas worked at eToro, one of the most active online brokers when it comes to sports sponsorships, as Europe Sponsorship Manager.

EC Markets became Official Global Partner of Liverpool FC last year, marking its first major sports sponsorship agreement.

EC Markets operates licensed subsidiaries in London (regulated by the FCA), Australia (ASIC), South Africa (FSCA), and the UAE (SCA), as well as offshore entities in Seychelles and Mauritius. The group is run mainly from the UK, Cyprus, and Dubai, led by London based Group CEO Matt Smith.

Nicholas posted the following note on social media regarding hos new role at EC Markets.

Thrilled to announce that I’ve taken on a new position as Sponsorship and Partnership Manager at EC Markets.

I’ll be focusing on our partnership with Liverpool Football Club alongside a wider range of sponsorship initiatives. It’s a role that sits right at the intersection of sport, brand, and business, and I couldn’t be more excited by the opportunity.

EC Markets is a team with serious ambition, and I’m looking forward to contributing to what’s being built here.
