Exclusive: David Hodge (ex Skilling CMO) and Drosoula Hadjisavva (ex Orbex CMO) join ThinkMarkets
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Retail FX and CFDs broker ThinkMarkets has made two outside senior hires to run its marketing department.
Joining ThinkMarkets as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is David Hodge, based in London. As was also exclusively reported here at FNG at the end of 2021, David Hodge left his post as CEO of OANDA UK/EMEA and joined CySEC licensed retail broker Skilling as its Chief Marketing & Growth Officer, where he continued to work for nearly two years before quietly leaving late last year. David had been with OANDA for four and a half years, joining in 2017 from CMC Markets where he was Chief Commercial Officer. At OANDA he was the CEO for UK/Europe and the EMEA region, as well as Chief Revenue Officer for OANDA globally.
Also joining ThinkMarkets is experienced FX and CFDs industry executive Drosoula Hadjisavva, who will serve as ThinkMarkets’ Group Director of Marketing, out of Cyprus. Drosoula was most recently CMO of Cyprus based broker Orbex. She had previously worked as CMO of BDSwiss (2018-2022), Head of Marketing at FXCC (2017-2018), and Head of Marketing at IronFX (2015-2017).
Despite losing more than USD $20 million amid falling revenues over the past two years, mounting debt, and receiving a “going concern” warning from its auditors, ThinkMarkets is attempting to go public via a SPAC merger in Canada. ThinkMarkets’ SPAC merger partner, Toronto Stock Exchange listed FG Acquisition Corp, is holding a shareholder vote on the deal next week.
