Euroclear appoints Szandra Nagyné Komócsi as Chief Internal Auditor
Euroclear today announced the appointment of Szandra Nagyné Komócsi as Chief Internal Auditor.
Her appointment has been formally approved by the National Bank of Belgium.
Ms Komócsi brings a wealth of relevant expertise and a deep understanding of Euroclear to the new role. She succeeds John Bendermacher, who is retiring.
Since 2021, Szandra has served as Chief Risk Officer of Euroclear Bank, Euroclear’s International Central Securities Depository (ICSD). She was also a member of the Board of Euroclear Bank, where she helped steer the organisation through a highly complex risk environment shaped by various geopolitical developments.
Ms Komócsi began her Euroclear career in 2010 within the Internal Audit team. Before joining Euroclear, she was an audit manager at PwC.
She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Debrecen in Hungary and is a chartered accountant.
