Equiti exec Brian Myers leaves for CEO role at CFDs broker VCG
FNG has learned that longtime Equiti Group senior executive Brian Myers has left the company, to join CFDs broker VCG Markets as its new Group CEO.
Brian Myers had been Equiti Group for the past eight years. He joined the company in 2018 in London, as CEO of FCA-regulated arm Equiti Capital, the group’s institutional services unit. In 2021 Brian Myers relocated to Equiti headquarters in Dubai, serving as Group Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), as well as CEO of Equiti Brokerage (Seychelles), and head of the group’s activities in Africa. Brian was also CEO of Equiti’s Category One CMA-licensed entity in the UAE, Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC.
Prior to his time at Equiti Group, Brian was CEO of GKFX Prime (later Trivepro). He also previously worked at OANDA, Alpari, and FXCM.
FNG spoke with Brian about his move to VCG Markets. Brian said,
“Eight years at Equiti was great. What I’ll carry most was the energy of a company in full growth mode. There’s nothing quite like it. The pace, the problems, the sense that you’re building something in real time.
“That’s what drew me to VCG Markets. An established business, an immensely talented team, huge number of clients already across 70+ countries, but with a real hunger to become world leaders in trading technology and customer service. A company where AI is already woven into the fabric of what we do, not just on a powerpoint slide. That combination of foundation and ambition + embracing the huge disruption occurring across the industry is rare, and the chance to lead it is a privilege I don’t take lightly.
“Excited for what’s ahead.”
VCG Markets is a Dubai based online broker. The company had been operating since 2021 as an offshore (Mauritius) domiciled broker, and in 2025 received a UAE CMA Category 5 (Introduction and Promotion) license, for VCG Securities Financial Consultation LLC. VCG Markets was run until now by Abdallah Garib, who was previously Chief Compliance and Legal Officer MENA at Equiti Group early during Brian’s tenure at Equiti.
