Election of Adrian Collins, Penny James approved at Hargreaves Lansdown AGM
UK direct-to-investor investment and online trading firm Hargreaves Lansdown PLC (LON:HL) has just reported the results of the annual general meeting held earlier today.
All of the resolutions proposed at the Meeting were duly passed by shareholders, including the election of Adrian Collins and Penny James as directors. More than 99% of the votes were cast in favor of the resolutions proposing the election of Adrian Collins and Penny James.
Penny James brings extensive financial services experience with strong leadership skills, financial and risk expertise, strategic thinking and cultural alignment. Since May 2019 Penny has been the Chief Executive Officer of Direct Line Insurance Group plc, having joined in November 2017 as Chief Financial Officer.
She previously held a number of roles at Prudential plc including Group Chief Risk Officer and Director of Group Finance. Prior to this, she was Group CFO at Omega Insurance Holdings Limited and CFO, UK General Insurance, at Zurich Financial Services. She was previously a Non-Executive Director of Admiral Group plc from 2015 to 2017.
Adrian Collins has worked in the fund management business for over 45 years, most recently at Liontrust Asset Management where he served as Chairman from 2009 to 2019. During this period, he oversaw a transformation in the business, broadening its investment and distribution capabilities and undertaking numerous acquisitions.
Mr Collins has extensive experience across fund management and adjacent sectors having held senior roles at Gartmore, Trustnet (which he co-founded), Jupiter, Bestinvest and Lazard Investors. He is an experienced non-executive director.
