FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that State Street’s FX trading technology and liquidity arm Currenex has hired experienced FX executive Michael Porzio.

Mr. Porzio joins Currenex after serving as a Senior Vice President at Jefferies Financial in its eFX arm for the past three years. Prior to joining Jefferies in 2017 he had spent 12 years in the Merrill Lynch – Bank of America organization, ending his tenure there as VP eFX Sales Americas.

At Currenex, Michael Porzio will be in Sales and Business Development for the Americas.

State Street acquired Currenex in 2007 for $564 million. The company has been rumored to be actively seeking a buyer for Currenex over the past year.
