Barclays adds Dion Di Miceli, Andrew Davies to new team to service UK investment cos
Barclays Corporate and Investment Bank today announced the creation of a new team that will deliver equity markets products and services to investment company clients in the UK.
The Barclays team will incorporate both Investment Banking and Global Markets colleagues. Dion Di Miceli has joined Barclays UK Corporate Broking team to lead Investment Banking coverage of investment companies. Andrew Davies joins Barclays in June to lead the Equity Sales activity for investment company clients.
Dion and Andrew will co-lead the new investment companies team, and will work closely with Sean McPherson, who joined Barclays last year to lead equity trading of investment companies.
Dion Di Miceli is an experienced corporate adviser to UK investment companies, with 20-years’ experience. He has led dozes of main market IPOs in the UK and has advised the boards of several FTSE-250 companies across a broad range of corporate transactions.
He joins Barclays from Gravis Capital Management, where he spent the past six years, and was most recently Head of Investment Companies, providing strategic and corporate advice to fund portfolio managers and the boards of client funds to facilitate the growth of the investment companies managed by Gravis. Prior to Gravis, Dion Di Miceli spent 10 years at Cenkos Securities where he advised on a broad range of transactions, including IPOs, secondary issuance, reconstructions, mergers, tender offers and liquidations.
He will report to Robert Mayhew, Head of Corporate Broking.
Andrew Davies has significant experience in the investment companies sector and strong relationships with both investors and boards. He joins Barclays from Liberum Capital, where he has spent the past seven years, most recently as Head of Alternative Funds Sales. At Liberum, Andrew Davies lead multiple IPOs and secondary fund raises for listed fund clients including renewable infrastructure, growth capital, private equity and real estate.
Prior to Liberum, Andrew was Head of Fund Sales at Edmond de Rothschild Securities, and before that he spent five years at Cenkos Securities in its institutional sales team covering investment company clients. He will report to Anita Tanna, Head of EMEA Equity Sales.
