FNG has learned that Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker Fusion Markets has hired Torrell Fernandes as the company’s new Head of Sales.

Torrell Fernandes joins Fusion Markets after spending five years at IG Group, where he managed the Premium Clients Desk at IG in Australia, before leaving mid last year. He had also previously worked at GO Markets.

Fusion Markets was founded in 2019 by former Pepperstone CEO Phil Horner, and operates an ASIC licensed business as well as an offshore (Vanuatu) unit. The company is run from Melbourne by Phil Horner (CEO) and another former Pepperstone executive, General Manager Xavier Herrera.

Torrell posted the following note on social media regarding his new role at Fusion Markets.

After some time away from the brokerage industry to focus on family and reset, I’m excited to be stepping back in at Fusion Markets with fresh perspective and energy.

The past few months as a full-time Dad have been incredibly rewarding, supporting my partner’s return to full time work. It’s been a chapter full of chaos, laughs and memories…with plenty of snacks!
