Just several months after joining IG Group (LON:IGG) earlier this year following the better part of a decade at Finalto, Andy Biggs has announced that he has been promoted within the company to the position of CEO of IG Securities.

Andy Biggs joined IG back in April as Trading Director, with responsibility for the company’s B2B arm IG Prime as well as trading across the IG Group. Now, as CEO of IG Securities, he adds oversight of core technology at IG Group, as well as full operation of IG Prime, while still responsible for group trading.

Andy posted the following note today on LinkedIn regarding his promotion.

I am delighted to share that I have been appointed CEO of IG Securities, with responsibility for Core Technology, Group Trading and IG Prime.

I am particularly excited by the opportunity to bring technology and trading closer together. Combining our deep trading expertise with the strength of our technology and data capabilities will allow us to move faster and create even better products for both IG Prime and IG Consumer clients.

IG has a long history of innovation in online trading, and I look forward to working with the talented teams across the Group as we build the foundations for its next phase of growth.
