Cooling issue leads to CME Group markets halt
International derivatives marketplace CME Group has reported a cooling issue at CyrusOne data centers, leading to its markets getting halted.
CME Group has issued the following notice:
“Due to a cooling issue at CyrusOne data centers, our markets are currently halted. Support is working to resolve the issue in the near term and will advise clients of Pre-Open details as soon as they are available”.
Many online brokers have been affected by the problems. OANDA Japan has confirmed the problem. Electronic trading major IG Group has also issued a statement on the matter, which can be viewed below:

Not sure I believe them, apparently its -4 C in Chicago and low volume due to Thanksgiving and its been hours now.

I noticed that they mentioned “centers” rather than “a center”, so the problem may be outside of Chicago. CyrusOne itself has been silent so far. I agree with you that some skepticism is warranted in this situation.
