BTIG starts offering access to TSEʼs CONNEQTOR platform
Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) announced today that BTIG, LLC, a global financial services firm, has begun offering its clients access to CONNEQTOR.
TSE launched CONNEQTOR, its Request For Quote (RFQ) platform, in February 2021 with an aim to enhance liquidity in the ETF market.
Now, financial institutions and investors trading through BTIG will be able to access liquidity on CONNEQTOR. Clients trading TSE-listed ETFs will be able to simultaneously request quotes from leading market makers worldwide without incurring additional costs, enabling faster and more cost-efficient execution.
Samuel Leung, Chief Strategy Officer, BTIG APAC, commented:
“As a firm serving global financial institutions and institutional investors, BTIG supports clients in trading TSE-listed ETFs. With growing interest in the Japanese market, we have started offering access to CONNEQTOR to improve trading convenience and provide a better execution environment for our clients.
BTIG is honored to be the first non-Japan domestic brokerages house offering the CONNEQTOR services to our client base across the regions.”
Naoki Isomoto, Executive Officer, Tokyo Stock Exchange, added:
“We developed CONNEQTOR to help investors trade ETFs ʻfaster and cheaper.ʼ We are delighted that BTIG has begun offering access to CONNEQTOR, allowing its clients to trade TSE-listed ETFs faster and cheaper.
Just as Japanese institutional investors have increased ETF usage through CONNEQTOR, we hope investors worldwide will expand their investments in TSE-listed ETFs with this platform.”
