Binance Wallet introduces Binance Wallet Extension with keyless security access
Binance Wallet today announced the launch of Binance Wallet Extension (Beta).
Users can now securely manage crypto assets, interact with dApps, and explore Web3 – all directly from their desktop web browser.
The extension offers a simple, secure, and seamless way to explore Web3 without compromising control.
Whether users are new to crypto or already using Binance Wallet, the extension provides an intuitive way to explore the decentralized world directly from the browser.
Binance Wallet clients can instantly log in using the Binance App and unlock Binance Keyless Wallet with a simple QR scan — no complex setup required. Alternatively, users can import existing wallets using a seed phrase or private key and manage them all in one place.
Binance Wallet Extension uses the advanced Keyless (MPC) technology to generate three separately stored key shares, eliminating a single point of failure.
Users can also receive proactive alerts about risky tokens, contracts, or blockchains, which help them stay safe while navigating the Web3 space.
How to get started:
- Install the Binance Wallet Extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Open the extension and click [Set Up Wallet]. You have two options:
- Log in to Binance Keyless Wallet: Scan the QR code using your Binance App and confirm the pairing code on both devices.
- Import your existing wallet: Choose [Import Seed Phrase Wallet] or [Import Private Key Wallet], then enter your seed phrase or private key.
- Set a password for the extension (required for first-time users).
- Start exploring Web3 seamlessly from your web browser.
