IG adds $PATH to offering
Electronic trading major IG now offers trading in UiPath shares to its clients.
UiPath is a leading global software company that develops business process automation technology. The company listed on the New York Stock Exchange on April 21, 2021.
Clients have been able to trade UiPath shares from the day of the company’s listing.
Trading UiPath shares with IG means that traders will be using leveraged derivatives such as spread bets or CFDs to go long or short on the UiPath share price. When trading, they will be able to open a position without taking direct ownership of the shares.
- ‘Buying’ (or going long) means that a trader is taking a position on the UiPath share price rising;
- ‘Selling’ (or going short) means that a trader is taking a position on the UiPath share price falling.
UiPath was founded as ‘DeskOver’ in 2005 by Daniel Dines and Marius Tîrcă. The company name change came in 2015, after releasing its first ‘Desktop Automation’ product line in 2013.
Having started out in Bucharest, UiPath expanded its operations in 2015 to several offices across Europe, Asia and North America. This international move came after the company received seed funding from a number of early investors. In 2017, UiPath moved its headquarters to New York City.
Now, with over 6300 customers and around 3000 employees, UiPath is the world’s leading robotic process automation (RPA) software company.
