FXDD goes offshore relinquishing Malta MFSA license
It looks like one of the “original” names in the Retail FX and CFDs space is fading away.
FNG has learned that FXDD, which began as one of the first MetaTrader brokers (then MT3) back in 2003, has relinquished its license to serve clients in the EU. According to the Malta MFSA website, FXDD operator Triton Capital Markets Ltd, which has held a CFD broker license in the EU island country since 2010, surrendered the license as of August 25, 2026 (i.e. yesterday).
The FXDD.com website now shows the brand being operated by FXDD Trading SAC, registered in Peru. FXDD’s linked X (formerly Twitter) account from its website is now inactive, as is its Facebook account. The FXDD LinkedIn page now leads to FXDD Trading SAC in Peru.
The FXDD brand was originally spun out of interdealer broker Tradition, with FXCM eventually buying up its US client base in 2014 and the company focusing on EU and other international markets under longtime controlling shareholder and former racecar driver Emil Assentato. In its heyday FXDD sponsored a number of auto racing teams, a practice still popular today among CFD brokers.
