Exclusive: OneRoyal CCO Dominic Poynter departs
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Dominic Poynter has left his position as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Retail FX and CFDs broker OneRoyal.
Dominic Poynter joined OneRoyal in 2024, as was also exclusively reported at the time here at FNG, initially as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In late 2025 he moved to the CCO role, after OneRoyal hired former Doo Prime, M4Markets and Tickmill executive Marilena Iakovou as CMO.
Dominic was previously CMO of online brokers HYCM, FXChoice, and Axiory. He has also served as Head of Sales & Partnerships at NAGA, Head of Marketing for ATFX Global Markets (CY) Ltd, the EU-facing operation of online broker ATFX (and its predecessor brand Positiva Markets), and worked previously in various marketing roles at easyMarkets, FXTM and FxPro, dating back to 2010.
Founded in 2006, OneRoyal is a multi-licensed broker offering a wide range of CFD products for retail traders (under the OneRoyal brand) and institutional clients (OnePrime). The company holds CySEC, ASIC, VFSC and FSA licenses and is headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus (retail arm) and Sydney, Australia (institutional arm). OneRoyal is controlled by Lebanese businessman Rayan Al Annan.
Dominic posted the following note on LinkedIn regarding his departure from OneRoyal.
After more than 15 years building and growing FX/CFD businesses, I’m available for my next commercial challenge.
I’ve never actually written one of these posts before.
Historically, as one role ends, I’ve tended to keep quiet, make some calls and let my network, the industry grapevine and headhunters do their thing. Most of my opportunities have found me that way. This time I’ve decided to do something different.
My career has taken me through Digital, Marketing, Sales, Affiliates/IBs and Partnerships into CMO and CCO leadership — but the common thread has always been commercial growth.
I like building things. Fixing things that aren’t working. Finding revenue that’s being left on the table. Building and restructuring teams. Opening markets. Growing IB and affiliate networks. Doing deals. Improving acquisition, conversion and retention. And getting deep enough into the numbers to understand what’s actually driving the business.
Most recently with OneRoyal, I progressed from CMO to CCO, leading a large international commercial organisation across Sales, Business Development and Partnerships. During that time we achieved significant growth across funded clients and deposits, improved conversion, and increasingly focused on the quality and economics of the business rather than simply chasing volume.
Affiliates and IBs have been part of my career for more than 20 years. I started on the other side of the table — building affiliate websites, buying traffic with my own money and earning from the customers I generated.
Since then I’ve built and managed affiliate programmes and large international IB and partnership operations. I understand both sides of that relationship, and I think that’s relatively unusual.
I’m now interested in CCO, CRO, CSO and commercially led CMO opportunities, primarily across FX/CFD, crypto and iGaming.
Cyprus is home, but I’m open to international companies, remote/hybrid structures and regular travel for the right opportunity.
If we’ve worked together, competed against each other, done business together — or simply know each other through this wonderfully small industry — I’d be very happy to hear from you.
And if you know someone building something ambitious who could use my particular mix of commercial, sales, affiliates/IBs, partnerships, acquisition and digital experience, an introduction would be very much appreciated.
