Exclusive: Eightcap names Bryn Newell CEO, UK head Ollie Rosewell departs
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that some more senior management changes are afoot at Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker Eightcap, following the departure late last year of company CEO Alex Howard, as well as LATAM director Carlos Cadavid.
Following a brief period when Eightcap Chairman and former CEO Joel Murphy took over some of the CEO responsibilities, Eightcap has promoted CIO (and former CTO) Bryn Newell (pictured above) to the CEO role. Bryn has been with Eightcap since 2021, and was previously Head of Technology at National Australia Bank, where he worked for 14 years (2007-2021).
FNG has also learned that longtime Eightcap executive Ollie Rosewell has left the company.

Ollie Rosewell had been with Eightcap for the past seven years, working out of Eightcap’s London office. He began as Eightcap’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) from 2019-2024, when he slotted over to a B2B role, as Commercial Director, creating new strategic and technology commercial partnerships for the Eightcap group of businesses. Less than a year ago Ollie was tapped to take over as CEO of Eighcap UK, the group’s FCA licensed operation, with a mandate to grow the business.
Prior to his time at Eightcap Ollie was Head of Marketing at ETX Capital (later known as OvalX). He has also previously worked at AFX Group, LCG, and IG Group.

Other relatively recent additions to the senior management team at Eightcap include:
- Caroline Ruddick, CMO. Caroline joined Eightcap in mid 2025 in the company’s Melbourne headquarters, and took over the CMO role from Ollie Rosewell. Caroline came to the company from outside “the industry”.
- Michael Clifton-Jones, CCO. Michael also joined Eightcap last year in Melbourne, and was named Chief Commercial Officer last August. Prior to Eightcap, Michael spent 14 years at commercial payments company Convera. He has also previously worked at CFDs broker Go Markets.
