FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Philippos Psyllos, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at CFDs broker OQtima, has left the company.

Philippos Psyllos, who is based in Cyprus, has served in senior technology roles at various online brokers over the past 20 years. He spent the past four years as CTO at OQtima, which operates an institutional client focused CySEC licensed business (at website oqtima.eu), and an offshore (Seychelles domiciled) retail CFDs brokerage at oqtima.com.

Prior to his time at OQtima, Philippos served as CTO of Axiance, IC Markets, Tickmill, Vipro Markets, and JFD Brokers. He also held senior IT roles at FXTM, and Alpari.

Philippos Psyllos posted the following note on social media regarding his decision.

After nearly two decades of working continuously in technology roles within the fintech sector — including the last 12 years as CTO — I’ve decided to take some personal time to rest, recharge and plan my next career steps carefully and selectively.

It’s been an intense and rewarding journey building and scaling high-performance platforms, leading global teams, and driving technology strategy in fast-paced environments, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’ve worked with and the challenges along the way.

I look forward to the next chapter when the right opportunity presents itself, but for now, I’m enjoying a different pace – being a tourist in my own country and discovering the hidden gems of Cyprus with my family.
