Japanese broker Rakuten Securities to change MT4 login method to enhance security
Japanese Forex, CFD and stock broker Rakuten Securities Inc plans to change the login method for the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform.
Starting Saturday, February 28, 2025, in order to provide its customers with a safer and more secure trading environment, the broker will be issuing random passwords when customers seek to log in to their Rakuten MT4 account, Rakuten MT4 Securities CFD account, and Rakuten MT4 Commodity CFD account.
After Saturday, February 28, 2026, the MT4 account login will be locked at all times, and traders will need to follow the steps below to log in:
Log in to Rakuten FX-WEB > My Page > MT4 Password Issue page.
