London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) has been notified that William Vereker, Non-Executive Director of the Company, will join the Board of Macquarie Group Limited as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 February 2026.

Mr Vereker was Vice Chair of the EMEA Investment Bank at JP Morgan in 2020. Prior to that he served as the Prime Minister’s Business Envoy (2018-2020) and held senior roles at UBS (2013-2018), including Global Head of Investment Banking (2016-2018).

Before joining UBS, Mr Vereker held a number of senior executive roles at Nomura (2009-2013) and Lehman Brothers (2005-2008). He began his career at Morgan Stanley and held a variety of investment banking roles with a focus on the energy and utility sectors, which culminated with him being MD & Head of European Utilities (2001-2005).

William Vereker was also Chair of Santander UK (2020-2025) and a Member of the UK Investment Council (2021-2024).
