Exclusive: Gain Capital (Forex.com) UK CEO Nigel Rose joins Exinity
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that longtime Gain Capital / Forex.com / City Index executive Nigel Rose has joined rival Retail FX and CFDs broker Exinity, as a non-executive director of its Exinity UK Ltd operation in London.
Nigel Rose first joined UK CFDs and spreadbetting broker City Index in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). After City Index was acquired in 2014 by then-publicly-traded Gain Capital, operator of the Forex.com online brokerage brand, Nigel was named CEO of the renamed Gain Capital UK Limited. When Gain Capital itself was acquired in 2020 by US based institutional broker StoneX, Nigel added the role of Divisional CFO at StoneX.
This marks the second senior Forex.com / City Index management change in as many months. We reported in December that Glenn Stevens, founder and longtime CEO of the Gain Capital and Forex.com businesses, was leaving the company. We’d also note that Exinity’s Group COO is Matthew Wright, who worked with Nigel Rose as Chief Operating Officer EMEA at Gain Capital in the UK from 2008-2016.
The Exinity Group was launched in 2020, as an umbrella group comprising the various retail FX/CFD businesses owned by Andrey Dashin, including offshore brokerage brands FXTM and Alpari, and more recently the Nemo investing app and the Pulse gaming platform.
