Spreadex renews as sponsor of Watford FC
Watford Football Club has announced that its partnership with financial spread betting and sports betting firm Spreadex has been renewed leading into the 2024/25 campaign. Watford FC competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football.
Spreadex joined forces with the Hornets before the start of last season, taking on official club partner status. Since then both parties have worked closely together to provide a range of benefits for Watford supporters.
Formed in 1999, Spreadex is a leading sports and financial spread betting and sports fixed odds betting firm. The company is local to Hertfordshire as it is based in St Albans.
Andy MacKenzie, the Head of Marketing at Spreadex said,
“We’re overjoyed to be able to continue our partnership with Watford for another year after a hugely positive collaboration last season.
“With both Spreadex and the club being based in Hertfordshire, we were able to work on a number of initiatives such as ticket competitions and merchandise giveaways for both Hornets fans and Spreadex staff.
“We also supported local charities, such as by gifting some of our branding space to local organisations to promote some really valuable community causes.
“We plan to do more of the same this coming season, starting with a competition to win two season tickets at Vicarage Road for what is sure to be an exciting season ahead.
“Keep an eye on the Spreadex Sports social platforms for how to enter via X, Instagram or Facebook.”
Spreadex is regulated by the FCA and Gambling Commission and has a reputation for innovative products and excellent customer service. Last season, its logo was displayed across LED perimeter board advertising and interview backdrops at Vicarage Road.
Watford FC Commercial Director Paul O’Brien added,
“We are pleased to extend our agreement with Spreadex for the 2024/25 season.
“Spreadex have established a significant presence in the football sector and they also have a commitment to the local community; being based very close to the club, we see this as a key benefit of the partnership.
“As per last season there will be a number of key benefits to our supporters, through Spreadex’s prize giveaways of hospitality, signed shirts and much more.
“Furthermore, the club recognises the importance of promoting responsible gambling and a big part of the decision to renew with Spreadex is their commitment in this area.”
