FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that UAE based retail and institutional FX brokerage Equiti Group has hired Hamad Haider to fill the role of Global Head of Legal.

The role is a fairly comprehensive one, as Equiti Group comprises affiliated entities in the UAE, Jordan, Kenya, Armenia, the United States, Cyprus and New Zealand. The group also operates FCA-regulated B2B/institutional services focused Equiti Capital in London.

Hamad Haider is joining Equiti after five years at PwC, where as a Partner he commuted between Dubai and London as Middle East Head of International Business Reorganisations. Prior to joining PwC he worked at Dubai based Al Tamimi & Company, one of the MENA region’s leading law firms. He also has legal experience in Pakistan, working at both Haidermota & Co and at Hussain & Haider in Karachi.
