Refinitv vet Karen Phillips hired as Head of Bus Dev at FX HedgePool
FX HedgePool, a startup providing a peer-to-peer matching platform for institutional foreign exchange transactions, has announced that it has hired longtime Refinitiv executive Karen Phillips, as the company’s new Head of Business Development.
Karen Phillips spent the past 20 years at financial market data and infrastructure provider Refinitiv, now part of the London Stock Exchange Group (LON:LSEG). At Refinitiv she was Head of Transactions Sales and Relationship Management, FXall and Matching, for the Americas region, managing the new business and relationship management teams covering FXall and Matching clients in the Americas. Karen holds a BS degree in Economics, Finance and Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
FX HedgePool operates a peer-to-peer matching platform for mid-market execution of FX swaps that is transforming the market by separating liquidity from credit. The company recently raised $8 million in a Series A funding round, led by Information Venture Partners (Information VP), with participation from Fidelity International Strategic Ventures (FISV) and NAventures, National Bank of Canada’s corporate venture capital arm.
