Gillian Larkins to step down as CFO of ASX
Gillian Larkins, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ASX, has advised that she will be leaving the Group at the end of August 2022. After almost four years at ASX, she has decided to pursue new opportunities elsewhere.
Ms Larkins joined ASX in October 2018. As a member of the ASX Executive Committee and in leading the Finance and Facilities team, she has shown dedicated and strategic leadership to overhaul the finance area and bring a more rigorous approach to the financial management of ASX.
Dominic Stevens, ASX’s Managing Director and CEO, said:
“We thank Gill for her service. She leaves ASX with a strong Finance and Facilities team in place, which is well positioned to continue to deliver for our stakeholders. She will continue to guide ASX through the next two months of our year-end activities until her departure. We wish her the very best for the next successful phase of her career.”
A search for a new CFO is underway.
There have been a number of management changes at ASX lately. Dominic Stevens has announced his intention to retire this year. He will be succeeded in this top role by Helen Lofthouse. She has been appointed Managing Director and CEO of ASX, effective August 1, 2022.
Ms Lofthouse is currently ASX’s Group Executive Markets, ASX’s largest business by revenue, responsible for cash and derivatives trading, including equities, interest rates, commodities and energy products, and the benchmarks business and international sales. She joined ASX in September 2015 as a member of the executive leadership team.
