Fintech recruiting specialist EC1 Partners has announced that Olympic medalist Lauren (McFall) Gardner will be joining the firm as Head of Electronic Trading Recruitment.

EC1 said that Lauren brings with her a wealth of industry experience gained managing sales teams for both Fixed Income and FX electronic trading solutions.

Lauren Gardner was the team captain of the bronze-medal winning US Synchronized Swimming team at the 2004 Olympic Games held in Athens. The company said that Lauren will be joining its US team to help Fintechs succeed and grow by hiring the very best senior sales professionals.

Ms. Gardner joins EC1 after short stints at data science and machine learning consulting firm Lander Analytics, and at OpenDoor, a marketplace for illiquid US Treasuries. From 2015-2018 she was Director, West-Coast Sales at EBS BrokerTec, where she oversaw regional sales for the FX execution and netting platform EBS Institutional as well as NEX’s US Treasury Dealer to Client platform, BrokerTec Direct. From 2012-2015 Lauren was Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and Head of Sales Europe for trueEX Group LLC. She began her financial career at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
