Jo Benton leaves ADSS CMO position for Brand role at Marex
FNG has learned that experienced FX and CFDs industry executive Jo Benton has left her position as Chief Marketing Officer for UAE based broker ADSS, to become Group Head of Brand and Channels for institutional brokerage outfit Marex (NASDAQ:MRX).
Marex provides liquidity, market access and infrastructure services to clients in energy, commodities and financial markets.
Jo Benton has been Group Chief Marketing Officer for ADSS out of London since 2021, however in 2023 ADSS withdrew from the UK market and gave up its FCA license, to focus mainly on its home MENA region. Prior to ADSS Jo worked previously at Saxo UK, StoneX (for its FOREX.com and City Index brands), GFT, CMC Markets, and Finspreads, in a variety of senior marketing, PR, and branding roles.
Jo posted the following note on social media regarding her move to Marex.
Earlier this year, after nearly four years of fun, I left my role as CMO at ADSS. As clichéd as it sounds, hard goodbyes really do make space for reflection and reset.
Reflection, for me, came through slowing down and actually enjoying some time off. And after a glorious few months of doing very little, the reset has arrived.
💫 I’m delighted to share that I’ve now joined Marex as Group Head of Brand and Channels. 💫
Marex is a business with genuine entrepreneurial drive, serious ambition and brilliant people. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love being part of a kick-ass team, and so I’m thrilled to be joining this one! 💪
