FNG has learned that longtime FX and CFDs industry executive Alessandro Capuano has joined online investment advisor Moneyfarm, as Head of Special Projects.

Alessandro Capuano was one of a number of senior IG Group employees who was recruited over to online brokerage group Capital.com by former IG CEO Peter Hetherington, who was hired as Capital.com’s CEO in 2022. Alessandro served as Capital.com’s Head of Europe, based out of Milan, before leaving the company late last year. He was with IG from 2006 until 2022 (except for a short stint at Italy’s Fineco Bank in 2019-2020), ending his tenure at IG as Head of Product.

Alessandro posted the following note on social media regarding his new role at Moneyfarm.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve started a new chapter in my career as Head of Special Projects at Moneyfarm.
