Finalto hires CMC alum Sam Horowitz as Head of Liquidity
FNG has learned that leading institutional trading services and liquidity solutions firm Finalto has hired FX and banking industry veteran Sam Horowitz, as the company’s new Head of Liquidity.
Sam Horowitz, who is based in London, spent 20 years in the banking sector at institutions such as BBVA, Lloyds, Rabobank and UBS, working mainly in senior eFX desk roles. Sam then joined CMC Markets in 2021 and was installed in 2022 as CMC’s Head of FX Distribution and Liquidity Management. After leaving CMC in 2023, Sam has worked at money transfer companies Wise, and Rafiki.
Finalto stated that Sam is a highly experienced FX Trader and Risk Manager, with three decades of experience in wholesale markets. He has worked across a range of institutions, including global banks, tier 1 asset management firms, fintechs, and intermediary businesses, in roles spanning trading, risk, liquidity, distribution, and technology.

Finalto has undergone a series of management changes, since earlier this year Finalto CEO Matthew Maloney stepped down, followed by COO Stanislav Bunimovich.
