FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that there has been a change at the top of Cyprus based FX and CFDs broker TopFX, with the company hiring Victor Zachariades as TopFX’s new Global CEO, replacing Alex Katsaros.

Victor Zachariades was Managing Director EU (in Cyprus) for Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker Pepperstone from 2019-2022. He then joined crypto trading platform provider Alpaca to head Alpaca’s Cyprus operation, as was also exclusively reported at the time here at FNG. Victor has also previously worked at Libertex Group, FxPro, and TFI Markets.

Most recently, Victor established CFD broker solutions provider BKR44. He also served for the past year as a Director on the board of Go Markets Cyprus.

Alex Katsaros was very much the public face of TopFX for over a decade, working at TopFX for 11 years and serving as the company’s CEO since 2016. During his tenure, TopFX pivoted from being an institutional broker and “B2B” company, providing liquidity and white label brokerage solutions to Retail FX brokers, based mainly on Spotware’s cTrader platform, to becoming a full fledged retail broker. The TopFX brokerage brand is offered both via CySEC licensed TopFX Ltd, as well as offshore (Seychelles domiciled) entity TopFX Global Ltd.

We understand that Alex Katsaros will be continuing in a non executive role for TopFX, as an advisor to the company’s major shareholder.
