Exclusive: Taurex hires FXCM / ForexVox alum Angus Irvine to head Compliance
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Retail FX and CFDs broker Taurex has hired experienced industry executive Angus Irvine, as the company’s new Head of Compliance and MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer).
Angus Irvine, who is based in London, spent 13 years with FXCM/ODL Securities in a variety of roles including Head of Online Trading, Head of Retail-On-Exchange, and VP Business Development. He has also worked as Director and Head of Compliance for ForexVox (now known as MarketsVox), and Head of Compliance at sports betting risk management firm SportExchange. Most recently, Angus acted as a Consultant at regulatory and compliance support firm IQ-EQ.
Taurex rebranded from Zenfinex in late 2023, although the group has kept the Zenfinex brand for its institutional brokerage and liquidity business (at website zenfinex.co.uk). The company was originally established in 2017 in the UK by Dubai based Group CEO Nick Cooke, a former FXCM and LCG senior sales executive. Taurex/Zenfinex received FCA authorization in March 2019. Taurex is majority controlled by Oscar Hilt Tatum IV, a Saint Kitts and Nevis citizen who now resides in the UAE and runs offshore investment firm iPoint Capital Partners.
