Exclusive: Markets.com names Andreas Kyriacou as EU CEO
FNG Exclusive… Further to our coverage earlier this week of the changes at Retail FX and CFDs broker Markets.com, FNG has learned that Markets.com has named Andreas Kyriacou as its new CEO for its EU operation. Andreas will formally serve as Managing Director of the company’s CySEC licensed Safecap Investments Ltd unit in Cyprus, with the additional hiring of a Group CEO possible in the near future.
Andreas Kyriacou joined Markets.com late last year as Managing and Finance Director of Safecap Investments Ltd. Prior to joining Markets.com / Safecap, Andreas worked previously at FXGlobe, and at IronFX.
The move comes following the recent departure of now-former Markets.com CEO Stavros Anastasiou from the company. Stavros had been CEO of Markets.com since the company was acquired in 2022 by Hong Kong based Gopher Investments, alongside Markets.com’s B2B sister company Finalto.
A Markets.com spokesperson said to FNG,
“Andreas brings over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong specialization in finance, accounting and international taxation. His expertise includes financial reporting and analysis, regulatory compliance, tax planning and structuring, as well as auditing and risk management. Throughout his professional roles, he has delivered strategic financial insights that have supported informed decision-making at both executive and operational levels.
“As Managing Director, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing overall business operations, and ensuring the company’s objectives are effectively achieved in alignment with regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations.”
The Markets.com brand operates under licenses issued in Cyprus (CySEC), South Africa (FSCA), and St Vincent & The Grenadines (FSA).
