Exclusive: FairMarkets CEO James O’Neill moves to Blueberry Markets
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that longtime FairMarkets CEO James O’Neill has left the company, and joined rival Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker Blueberry Markets, in a senior executive role.
James O’Neill had been with ASIC licensed Fairmarkets Trading Pty Ltd since 2015, having the title of CEO until 2021 and then Executive Director (2021-2023), after FairMarkets was acquired by Turkish based brokerage group GKFX (now part of Trive). FairMarkets (at website fair.markets) also runs an offshore Mauritius domiciled operation under the same name and brand.

Blueberry Markets was founded in 2016, and is controlled and run by founder and Managing Director Dean Hyde, who had previously worked at leading Australia based broker Axi. Blueberry Markets Pty Ltd does not have its own ASIC license, but introduces clients to ASIC-licensed ACY Securities Pty Ltd. The company also operates an offshore business Blueberry Markets (SVG) LLC, which introduces clients to ACY Capital Australia LLC, incorporated in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
