Exclusive: CFDs broker Traze sees departure of CEO Erkin Kamran
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Erkin Kamran has stepped down from his position as CEO of UAE based CFDs broker Traze.
Erkin Kamran had been with Traze for the past two years, serving as CEO of Traze as well as CTO/CPO of parent company Zeal Group. Zeal Group also operates the ZFX online trading brand. Prior to his time at Traze / Zeal Group, Erkin founded and built CRYT, a multi-licensed spot and derivatives Crypto Exchange with an EU VASP license. He was also previously EMEA Head of Operations and Business Development at FX software solutions company MarketFactory, and Head of Trading at EQONEX Group.
Earlier this year, under Erkin Kamran’s leadership, Traze Securities LLC received a full Category One License from the UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).
Traze offers online trading services in multiple jurisdictions, and is operated mainly from Dubai. Part of the Zeal Group, the company also holds a South Africa FSCA license, an FCA license in the UK (under the ZFX brand), and operates an offshore entity in Seychelles. Traze and Zeal Group are controlled by Chinese national Yun Chen.
Erkin posted the following note on social media regarding his departure from Traze.
After careful consideration I have decided to step down as CEO of Traze.
Incredibly proud of how much we shipped in a short time with the team — launching and growing a top-tier regulated broker in UAE and proving what focused execution can deliver. A big Thank You to @Traze team for the trust, commitment and camaraderie.
What’s next: I’m working on a new build at the intersection of tradfi and web3 – still early and in stealth, but will share soon enough. If you’re solving problems in trading or fintech – feel free to reach out I’m always up for a catch-up be it on product, liquidity, GTM or more.
Curious: what bottleneck in trading/payments do you wish someone would finally fix?
