eToro hires BNY Mellon / Newton alum Lale Akoner as Global Market Analyst
Social trading focused online broker eToro has announced the appointment of Lale Akoner as Global Market Analyst.
Based in London, Lale Akoner will oversee eToro’s market insights, leading the firm’s global team of analysts to produce macroeconomic and asset-level analysis of equities, currencies, commodities, ETFs and crypto. She will also work with eToro’s Investment Team to help grow the firm’s investment offering.
Lale brings over a decade of experience at leading global asset managers, most recently as a multi-asset portfolio manager for Newton Investment Management. Prior to this, she worked as a senior investment strategist for BNY Mellon Investment Management in both London and New York for more than 10 years.
eToro said that Lale also brings significant experience as an on-the-record source and live-broadcast commentator for media outlets including Bloomberg, CNBC and BBC, and will act as the global spokesperson for eToro’s market views.
