Acuity Trading hires Seamus Keaveney as VP Sales
Sentiment based trading tools provider Acuity Trading has announced the appointment of London based executive Seamus Keaveney as the company’s new Vice President of Sales.
The company said that after a highly competitive selection process, Seamus emerged as the ideal candidate to spearhead Acuity’s global sales strategy. In his new role, he will drive revenue growth, strengthen relationships with key clients—including brokers, hedge funds, and financial institutions—and expand Acuity’s presence in global markets.
Acuity said that Seamus’ appointment is not just an exciting addition to the team but also a full-circle moment. A long-time friend and former colleague of Acuity founders Andrew Lane and Nikki Carpenter, Seamus worked alongside them at Dow Jones over 20 years ago. His deep understanding of financial technology, coupled with his familiarity with Acuity’s vision and values, makes him a natural fit for this leadership role.
Seamus Keaveney spent the past nine years as Managing Partner – Global Head of Sales and Operations at China-focused macroeconomic and political forecasting company Enodo Economics.
With extensive experience in global sales and operations within the financial services sector, Seamus will focus on identifying new market opportunities, strengthening industry partnerships, and aligning sales efforts with Acuity’s cutting-edge AI-driven analytics. His leadership will be instrumental in furthering our mission to deliver innovative market insights and trading technology to financial professionals worldwide.
Andrew Lane, CEO of Acuity Trading, shared his enthusiasm for the appointment,
“Seamus’ financial markets knowledge and extensive sales experience are invaluable. But beyond that, he’s a fantastic person to work with and a perfect fit for our team.”
Andrew further shared on social media,
Quite the full-circle moment! Nikki Carpenter and I first worked with Seamus Keaveney back in 2003 at Dow Jones — my first job out of university (yes, I took my time finding my feet 🤣). I started as a Junior Account Manager with zero sales experience, and Seamus was right there beside me, driving new business and helping me learn. He even brought me along to my very first client meeting at Sumitomo Bank.
Our careers took different paths over the years, but here we are, back working together again. What’s really struck me is how much those early days shaped the way we work now. Learning from skilled, supportive colleagues at the start of your career is invaluable.
Thrilled and thankful to be teaming up with Seamus again — welcome aboard!
