Exclusive: FXCM alum Michel Chabbouh joins Zenfinex as CEO MENA
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Michel Chabbouh has joined startup Retail FX and CFDs broker Zenfinex, to head the company’s UAE based operations as CEO MENA.
Michel Chabbouh left FXCM late last year after eight years at the company, serving most recently as Regional Manager – Middle East and North Africa for FXCM. He also created the DailyFX Arabic website for FXCM, which was sold to IG in 2016.
Zenfinex Limited was established in 2017 (first as Zenfin Ltd) in the UK, and received FCA authorization in March 2019. The company also operates offshore operations in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and in Seychelles. We had also reported exclusively last November that Zenfinex hired former Capital Index CEO Matthew Wright, as its new Group CEO.
Zenfinex is controlled by Oscar Hilt Tatum IV, a Saint Kitts and Nevis citizen who now resides in the UAE and runs offshore investment firm iPoint Capital Partners. The company was first established by former FXCM and LCG senior sales executive Nick Cooke, who later brought on board his former FXCM sales colleague Lee Homes as Director of Sales, although Mr. Holmes departed the company last year.
