FNG has learned that Victoria Paling, one of the senior marketing executives at UK based online broker CMC Markets (LON:CMCX), has left the company, to join digital marketing and creative agency Rabid Rat.

Victoria Paling had been with CMC since 2021 with the title of Global Head of Institutional & Corporate Marketing, essentially overseeing marketing for the company’s CMC Connect institutional brokerage business. She had previously worked at Integral, Credit Suisse, and Deutsche Bank.

Victoria posted the following note on social media regarding her move to Rabid Rat.

I’m incredibly excited to share that after 20 years in the financial services sector, I’ve made the leap back into the agency world.

My very early career actually started agency-side before moving into film and television. In many ways, this feels like a full circle moment — a return to my creative roots and to a space I loved deeply and am thrilled to be reconnecting with.

I was a client of Rabid Rat and absolutely loved working with them — their creativity, mindset and, above all, their people. When I shared that I was leaving my previous role, they asked whether I’d consider joining them to help explore new business and growth opportunities. It felt instinctively right.

Having worked extensively on both the client side and agency side, I’m excited to bring a strong commercial lens to support Rabid Rat’s next phase of sustained growth — while always protecting the creative edge, insight and originality that make the agency what it is.

I joined at the beginning of January, and today felt like the perfect moment to make it official. We hosted our first Rabid Rat breakfast at Soho House & Co, in partnership with Nurture, founded by Gemma Greaves and Dan Cresta, who brought together a wonderful group of people and facilitated genuinely thoughtful, inspiring conversation. Around the table were CEO’S, Chief Creative Officers and agency leaders. The discussion was energising, generous and exciting, and reminded me exactly why I love this industry. I’ve already made new friends this morning, energy I thrive on.

This is a hugely exciting chapter for me and for my journey with Rabid Rat, and I genuinely can’t wait to see what we build together.
