Latitude Financial confirms malicious cyber-attack affecting Australian and NZ customers
Latitude Financial today confirmed that it is responding to a malicious cyber-attack that has resulted in the theft of personal information. The theft impacts customers across Australia and New Zealand.
The company has alerted the relevant authorities and engaged cyber security specialists as it continues to do everything in its power to contain the breach, including isolating and removing access to some internal and customer-facing systems.
Latitude is contacting impacted individuals to alert them to what’s been stolen and what they need to do.
Impacted individuals will be contacted via email where the company has one on file, or by letter.
Both current and past customers could be impacted, along with those that applied but didn’t proceed through an application. Those that have been identified as impacted are being notified.
If you believe there’s fraudulent activity on your account, contact Latitude immediately so the company can make sure your account is secure. If you’re concerned about a transaction or charge appearing on your account that may not be yours, you can raise a dispute and Latitude will investigate it.
Existing customers can continue to make transactions safely on their Latitude credit card.
More information on the matter can be found on Latitude’s website.
